Did you go to summer camp? What is your favorite memory/story? If you didn't go to camp, do you feel like you missed out?

I never went to summer camp. I sure do feel like I missed out. But actually, my lifelong teenage-job dream came true. I finally got to be a summer camp counselor this summer. It had it's up and downs. I wish I had done it when I was younger though. I feel like an old employee there. However, where I grew up, you had to be 18 to be a summer camp counselor and there were no CITs (counselor-in-training) for the 15, 16, 17 year olds. By the time I was 18 I had already started taking summer college classes because my goal was to get out of Illinois and college ASAP. I couldn't work summer camp because I had class during the day (which is when camp is) and I could only work a job at night on weekends. But I guess my little teenage-job dream is coming true now. I wish I could say I am making friends. But all the other counselors are 18 and just starting college. I am 22 and half way through my Masters...so yeah..we are kind of in different places in our lives...except for the North Carolina hottie. But we don't ever see each other, so I can't even talk to him to ask him out. He might end up being an a-hole anyway.

I went to girl scout camp once, even though I wasn't a girl scout. I always wanted to be one though. But I think ever since I went to girl scout camp, I wanted to be a camp counselor, and a girl scout leader.

That's all I have to say about that.

What are you most looking forward to in August?

• the Olympics
  
• getting a teaching position. I have been on one  interview and  I have been sending out my resumes. Waiting to hear back from all these schools!
  
• possibly moving to a studio to save money. If I get a teaching position I will hopefully be moving out of this apartment and moving into a a studio. The goal for moving is around Sept. 1.
• Most of my fall shows are coming back in August: The Hills, Greek, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill
• The Academy Is...new cd "Fast Times At Barrington High" comes out
• Entourage Complete 4th Season comes out on DVD
• summer camp ends, public school starts, master's classes start again

That's August in a nutshell..

I am not really looking forward to my 2nd appointment for my laser hair removal. But I paid for it and it's got to be done.

So that will be tomorrow. Well actually that is me always-blunt. I always just say what I am thinking. Well I have decided that tomorrow I am going to ask a guy out. He has no idea I am going to do it. In fact, I am not even sure he knows who I am. We don't talk. I mean that. I met him about a month ago at a training. We have the same job, but we never see each other. Our groups never cross paths. He approached me, randomly at the fireworks. I have thought he was attractive since I met him at training. He is tall, just like I like my boys to be. He has a degree, means hes going places (even though he does work at a summer camp, but hey I have a degree and I work at a summer camp). He works with kids all day long so he can't be that much of an ass hole. He seems like a fun person.

So yeah I am just going to go up to him at work tomorrow and ask him if he would like to hang out with me sometime. I guess I feel like I have nothing to lose. I mean, I never see him at work anyways, so if he rejects me, well....I don't come in contact with him. And, we hardly know each other, so its not like my feelings will be hurt. Rejection sucks, but I am used to it. However, I don't think I have ever asked a guy out before. Not a guy I don't really know. I think I tell guys like over the internet or on the phone, yeah we should meet up sometime. But never in person. I guess I am turning over a new leaf. Taking chances and hoping for the best!

If you could do anything you want tomorrow, what would it be?

I am actually okay with my plans for tomorrow!

First plan, we are going on a field trip to the zoo! I have never been to this zoo. I hear it's great! I hope to see penguins and polar bears!

Next is class, which I could do without, but I don't mind. I mean, I did choose to get my master's, no one is forcing me.

Then, it's bar time with Torrie! I love going out because I hardly ever get to! So I love it more when the opportunity arises!

That's what is really going down tomorrow. I am not excited about class, but I am excited about the zoo and going out!

What's on your "To-Do" list today? What are you most looking forward to and what are you most dreading?

Well since I am an advid "to-do" list maker, and a list maker in general, here is the list I made last night for what I need to do today:

Dewey (I have to do a presentation on John Dewey and his influence on Early Childhood Education, it is due Monday, and I have a partner. She is hopefully emailing me her findings and contributions, and I am searching for my contributions)

Call Kids (Summer camp starts on Monday and I am suppose to call all the parents and like introduce myself and go over some quick reminders about times,fees, sunblock, behavior, and crap like that I guess)

Babysit-Dewey PPT (Tonight I will be babysitting as usual from 8pm till about 3am, and while I am babysitting I will hopefully have my partner's information and my information and I can type it up in a Power Point and then I can design the power point, because we all know Power Points are cool with fonts, designs, colors, graphics, videos, and pictures!)

Thats my day, isn't it exciting!!?!?!?

but first, i must eat some breakfast!
